About Jean Anne Zollars, PT, DPT, MA
Jean Anne has been a physical therapist since 1982, specializing in pediatrics, seating and manual therapy.
Jean Anne’s Story
Following her undergraduate studies at Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY, her work in Malaysia in 1986 made her aware of the need and importance of specialized seating and mobility for children with disabilities.
In 1988, she was trained in neuro-developmental treatment, and three years later received her M.A. in rehabilitation technology from San Francisco State University. She has worked in the seating/mobility field at the Rehabilitation Engineering Center at Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford, and in El Salvador, Nicaragua, Russia, and Mexico.
In 1992, Jean Anne began her ongoing study of the work of French osteopath Jean-Pierre Barral, and now teaches visceral manipulation through the Barral Institute. Jean Anne received her clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in August 2014.
Currently, she treats children and adults in her private practice, integrating visceral, cranial, nerve, and myofascial manipulation with seating and mobility. She lives and works in Albuquerque, NM, with her son.
